Changing your nick:

Changing your nick is simple  just type: “/nick NewNick” and you will change your nick to whatever you specified unless the nick is currently in use. Make sure to exclude the quotes.

Registering your nick:

Registering your nick protects it from anyone else using it. This is helpful if you want to use the same Nick every time you join the chat. Simply type up:

“/ns register <password> <e-mail>” Remember to not add the quotes and brackets (<,>) and change password and e-mail respectively.

Join another Channel:

With IRC you are able to join other channels, this can be easily accomplished by typing: “/join #NewChannel”, changing “NewChannel” with a name of a channel you want to join. You can see a list of channels by typing “/list” also without quotes.
