Mibbit is an ajax web client that can be easily incorporated into any website. Here at NixtrixIRC we support Mibbit and have enabled all our servers to fully support the client to its full potiential.

Choosing a network for your webchat can be very daunting; with so many networks to choose, where do you begin? Most new web chat’s use the actual Mibbit network. But with limited features it can kinda get boring and problematic after a certain amount of time, especially if your new to IRC.

Choose which widget would suit your website needs. And then sign up for an account.
- The basic Ad Support widget is perfect for small websites who would just like a basic webchat.

Once signed up, and signed into the Mibbit widget website you can set the preferences of your widget, on the right hand side of the main page you can see where you specify your server and channel. To use the NixtrixIRC network you must set the server as webirc.nixtrixirc.net and then specify your channel.

You will be given a certain type of code:
e.g.

src=”http://widget.mibbit.com/?settings=d90c651034ab3ec818c3a78e6ed2902b&server=webirc.nixtrixirc.net&channel=%23Help”

(Please use the code specified on your mibbit widget manager, as the code above will not work. It is just an example.)

Insert your code onto your website page and then login to your chat.

You will need to register your nickname and channel.
- You will of first have to choose a nickname, you can do this by typing: /nick nickname

Nickname Registration
/ns register password email
e.g.

/ns register password email@domain.com

Channel Registration
/cs register #channel password description
e.g.

/cs register #test t3stchannel Network Help Channel.

Your channel will now be set up. .
